Yes. I offer a free 15-minute consultation for therapy services. This brief call allows us to discuss what you’re looking for, ask questions, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
-
Individual Mental Health services such as Psychotherapy, Somatic Therapy, and EMDR sessions are typically 60 minutes. Couples Therapy and Pre-Martial Counseling sessions range between 60-90 minutes.
In the beginning or our work, we tend to meet weekly or bi-weekly depending on needs and mutual availability. Session length and frequency are discussed collaboratively and may be adjusted based on your needs and goals.

I provide therapy services to clients located in California. Sessions are offered via secure telehealth, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own space. If you are located outside of California, or looking for professional or personal development, I offer coaching outside of my role as a psychotherapist. Click here to learn more.

Out first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and begin understanding what’s bringing you to therapy. We’ll talk about your goals, relevant history, and what you’re hoping to get out of the process. You’re welcome to share at your own pace — there’s no expectation to cover everything right away.
-
You don’t need to know this before starting. Therapy is collaborative, and part of the process is exploring what approaches feel most supportive for you. During a consultation or early sessions, we can talk about what you’re hoping to work on and determine which therapeutic approaches may be the best fit based on your needs and goals.

The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some clients come for short-term support around a specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper exploration or ongoing support. We can check in periodically to reflect on how therapy is feeling and what feels most helpful for you.
-
Everyone’s experience with therapy is different. Some clients notice shifts fairly quickly, while for others change unfolds more gradually over time. Therapy isn’t about quick fixes, but about building understanding, insight, and support that can lead to lasting change. We’ll check in along the way about how things are feeling and what’s most helpful for you.

Yes. Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many concerns. Telehealth allows for flexibility and consistency while still offering meaningful connection and depth. Many clients find that meeting from their own space can feel more comfortable and supportive.
-
Yes. Therapy is confidential, with certain legal exceptions required by California law, such as situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, or cases of abuse or neglect. These limits to confidentiality will be reviewed in more detail during the informed consent process.

I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be subject to the full session fee. This policy helps protect the time set aside for you and allows availability for other clients.

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of expected charges to clients who are not using insurance or who are self-pay. A Good Faith Estimate outlines the anticipated cost of psychotherapy services based on the information available at the time.
You will receive a Good Faith Estimate before starting services and may request an updated estimate at any time. Please note that the estimate is not a bill and that actual charges may vary depending on the course and length of treatment.

Therapy with me is designed for individuals and couples who are able to engage in outpatient psychotherapy via telehealth. I am not able to provide services for clients who require a higher level of care or whose needs would be better supported through in-person or more intensive treatment.
This includes individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, active suicidal ideation, recent psychiatric hospitalization, or those currently enrolled in intensive outpatient (IOP) or partial hospitalization (PHP) programs.
Because services are provided via telehealth, appropriateness for online therapy is assessed on an ongoing basis. In some situations — including concerns related to safety, clinical acuity, or the need for more structured support — telehealth may not be sufficient. In these cases, in-person therapy or referral to a higher level of care may be recommended.
I am also not the best fit for clients whose primary needs fall outside the scope of my practice, including severe or untreated mental health conditions, personality disorders requiring specialized treatment, or active addiction or untreated substance use disorders.
If you are unsure whether therapy with me is the right fit, I encourage you to reach out. I’m happy to help you explore appropriate next steps or referrals when possible.
